 Available Shift



  • 4:30 pm- 3:30 am (Mon-Fri)

  • Occasional Overtime on Saturdays


Compensation


At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.


 


Join Our Team as an Assembler!


 Are you passionate about assembly? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Vista & Vista SD Assembly team. As an Assembleryou’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. In this job, you will assemble VISTA units and corresponding subassemblies. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity, and must meet requirements within time constraints. This is an assembly line operation involving as many as six stations. Initially you will be assigned to one station but will need to be flexible and open to working additional stations as business needs require. Tasks require a high degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools; occasionally work while standing on ladders; and occasionally work inside tight compartments. 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assemble VISTA Switch, both on the assembly line and directly on the shop floor. 

  • Identify, transport, install, mount and bolt all types of components (ranging from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs., with assistance), including bus assemblies, high-voltage switches, mounting and support plates, lock assemblies, 

  • Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures. 

  • Have proficiency in the use of simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges, instruments and overhead cranes. 


Operate simple machinery such as automatic Press machines. 


Required  



  • High School diploma. 


What you’ll Need To Succeed:


Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):



  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical operations. 

  • Demonstrated ability to use basic shop math and measurement tools such as tape measures. 

  • Ability to follow standard work instructions, assembly drawings, and specifications. 

  • Knowledge and ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools. 


 Preferred:



  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred.


 Major Physical Demands:



  • Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking. 

  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. 

  • Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile). 

  • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs. 

  • Pushing: Occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance. 

  • Pulling: Occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance. 

  • Bending: Frequent bending and crouching required to complete the assembly tasks. 

  • Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees. 

  • Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in size from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs. along with a variety of hand tools.
