This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"><strong>Join Our Team as a Test Engineer II !</strong></span></p><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Are you passionate about<strong> Electrical and Mechanical Laboratories? </strong>S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Electrical and Mechanical Labs team. As a <strong>Test Engineer II,</strong> you’ll be crucial in ensuring continued innovation and supporting our diverse team.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">The Test Engineer II is responsible for designing, planning, and executing tests on switchgear products and/or their components to evaluate their performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing test procedures, analyzing test data, and providing insights to support product development and quality improvement efforts. The role involves leading small and medium scale projects to improve test capabilities, and to maintain the lab’s facilities and processes. The Test Engineer III will report to Senior Manager – NJC Laboratories.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:Symbol;">·</span><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"> </span><span style="font-family:Symbol;"> </span><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Collaborate with design engineering teams to understand test requirements and develop test methods based on customer requirements.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Direct lab personnel during the setup and execution of tests. </span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conduct a range of tests, including short-circuit tests, dielectric tests, partial discharge tests, impulse tests, insulation resistance tests, and power frequency tests, in accordance with requirements provided in industry standards and S&C’s internal standards.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Accurately collect test data and measurements during testing. Analyze and interpret test results using statistical methods and engineering tools to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven recommendations.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing. Apply standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems. Collaborate with the other teams to develop solutions and improvements.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Prepare detailed test reports, including methodology, results, and analysis. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality management systems.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Support maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in testing.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> </span>Create and maintain drawings and documentation related to the lab’s processes, including but not limited to test reports, specifications, and user manuals.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> Train S&C team members on the lab's processes, equipment and test methods to ensure that the lab has the relevant skills needed to meet testing demand and operate efficiently. </span></span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> Design, develop and implement new laboratory instrumentation and control systems. Specify and recommend the purchase of new test equipment and software. </span></span></p><p style="line-height:normal;margin:6.0pt 0in 6.0pt .5in;text-indent:-.25in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">•<span> Identify opportunities to enhance test methodology, equipment and processes.
