If the Word of God has been HIDDEN IN MY HEART, it will draw on the grace of God in times of trouble.
GOD'S WORD IS far more than a historic document. It was written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit long ago, but it has lost none of that inspiration for today.The Holy Spirit is in the Word, and the Word is, therefore, living truth. It is meant to be hidden in your heart and pondered in your mind that you might be rooted and grounded in its teaching and saturated in its spirit. It is the Father's book of grace for your soul.
The Pharisees were masters of the details of the Old Testament but they failed to take the words of God into their hearts. There was no link between the written Word and their hearts. It is possible to memorize the whole Bible and yet know nothing about God's revelation. If you want to find God's word in the Bible let it speak to your heart and allow it to become a revelation that is life to your soul.
