ADOPT-A-CHILD CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

COBO CENTER'S MICHIGAN ROOM ON THE LOWER LEVEL

The purpose of the ADOPT-A-CHILD CHRISTMAS PROGRAM is to provide gifts of warm clothing to needy children from the Detroit area. Please take a minute look over the attachments or you may visit the website www.neyic.org.

The role of an Adopt-A-Child Adoptive Parent is simple:

1. We provide you with the name, age and clothing size of the child or children;

2. You purchase a new winter coat and 2 outfits for the child or children;

3. You come to the Christmas Party at Cobo Hall with your items gift wrapped and give it to your child or children. They get to open their gifts right there at Cobo Hall

For a lot of these children, Ms. Huff, the Adopt A Child for Christmas Party is often the only holiday celebration that they will be invited to or participate in. If you are interested in becoming an Adopt-A-Child Adoptive Parent, PLEASE contact me as soon as possible at 313.494-5231 or by email at vedwards@dia.org.

If you are not able to adopt a family or children, please consider making a tax deductible donation. Your sponsorship and/or donation this year is very critical to supporting the other side of the program. You see, not all children will be matched up with generous people like yourself and the Adopt A Child Christmas Committee shops for those children so that they receive something as well.
