Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God... Casting your care upon Him; for he careth for you. ~1Peter 5:6-7
As we turn the corner to three weeks before the Election, excitement, anxiety, and uncertainty are in the air. Voter registration drives are coming to a close, and millions of people are voting early—in hopes of getting a quicker answer on who’s likely to be the next President of the United States of America.
The world has consumed our voicemails, emails, televisions, and internet with stories and instant updates on what is going on with candidates, providing us with video footage of speeches and campaign trails. But what is it all for? Have we reached a point where we have put all of our trust in man? After all, it was man that got us into=2 0our current situations to begin with—economic turmoil, financial breakdowns, unemployment, poor international relations, etc. Will the next president really be our savior? Will he be the one to set us back on Straight Street? As believers, we as a nation must focus on the real Savior. We should pray to God to give the next president the wisdom and knowledge to make the decisions that will improve our economy. It is God who will make a way for His people to live—God is our sustainer. We must revisit and re-evaluate our prayers—that God will put the right leader in place, and that whomever the winning candidate is—that God will lead and guide him to make the decisions that will benefit His kingdom and His people. Focus your attention on God. Make Him your vote today!
